I started Diversiology after years of leading this work with no team, no budget, and no roadmap. I hired consultants my teams couldn't afford. The deliverables looked good and nothing changed. So I built the system I needed, for practitioners doing the work with less than they deserved.
Diversiology became a community of more than 500 practitioners. The research, the conversations, and the people in it taught me what The Humanity Practice is built on: culture isn't defined by intentions or values statements. It's defined by everyday workplace practices.
Without Diversiology, there is no Humanity Practice. The name changed. The work came with me. So did you.

To every member who joined the community, shared an origin story, pushed back on an idea, or carried this work into a room I'll never see: thank you. You made it sharper. You made it real.
Thank you to Jenna Miller (Betterworks), Jason Guggisberg (DZConneX), and Sean Paulseth (Humanly), and to the guests who joined me on Voices of Diversity: Stacey Gordon, Dwayne Bennett, John Jackson, Sandhna Chintoe, Bob Athwal, Manjuri Sinha, John Graham, Dan Burger, and Dorian Stewart, just to name a few.
In 2025 we asked HR professionals, DEI leaders, ERG leaders, and consultants what the work actually looked like from the inside. Here's what they told us.
That last number is why The Humanity Practice exists. People were still doing the work with shrinking resources and rising resistance. They didn't need another program to defend. They needed practices their teams could run every day, measured by behavior instead of intentions. The report covers ten trends, from budgets and burnout to leadership buy-in and technology, plus the three paths organizations were choosing between.
